How and why we use information

Our legal bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating a professional recruitment business. Information we collect
We may collect your name, contact details, CV, work and education history, professional qualifications, skills, availability, salary expectations, work-authorisation information, correspondence, interview notes, references and other information you provide. We may also receive information from referees, employers, professional networking sites, job boards and publicly available sources. Please do not provide sensitive personal data unless it is relevant and requested. Where recruitment requires health, background-check or other special-category information, we will explain why it is needed and apply an appropriate legal basis and safeguards.
Sharing information
We may share relevant information with prospective employers and clients, referees, professional advisers, regulators or public authorities, and service providers supporting hosting, communications, job advertising, IT, security and recruitment administration. These providers may include Vercel and services reached through links on this site, such as Indeed and LinkedIn. We require service providers to protect personal data and use it only for authorised purposes. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Some providers or recipients may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we use an approved safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional safeguards where appropriate. Recruitment involving the United Kingdom may rely on the applicable EU adequacy decision while it remains valid.
Retention
We retain candidate information only as long as needed. Unless a longer period is required by law or agreed with you, candidate records are generally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Placement, client, contractual, invoicing and compliance records may be retained for up to 7 years. Unnecessary information is deleted or anonymised. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to legal obligations and legitimate record-keeping needs.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent and object to direct marketing at any time. To exercise a right, email info@selectambition.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.
